STRENGTHENING COOPERATION WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF KENT (UNITED KINGDOM)
In line with the educational policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Emomali Rahmon, and with the aim of expanding international cooperation in higher education and creating new academic opportunities for talented Tajik youth, a high-level meeting was held between the representative of the State Institution “Center for International Programs” and the leadership of the University of Kent, one of the leading research institutions in the United Kingdom.

The meeting was attended by the university’s rector via online platform and the vice-rector in person. The discussions focused on launching mutually beneficial cooperation, creating study opportunities for Tajik students, establishing scholarship schemes, joint programs, and academic exchange. The University of Kent affirmed its readiness to support incoming students with comprehensive facilities, including academic and social support services.

It was officially announced that for the academic year 2025–2026, the University of Kent is ready to admit 10 Tajik students in the field of Architecture, providing them with suitable living and study conditions.
During the visit, the representative of the Center became acquainted with the university’s academic infrastructure, lecture halls, administrative staff, libraries, research centers, and student facilities.
The University of Kent was established in 1965 and is located in the city of Canterbury. It currently operates across three main campuses — Canterbury, Medway, and Brussels — comprising over 20 academic schools and offering more than 150 undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs.

According to international rankings, the University of Kent holds a prominent position due to its high-quality teaching, academic environment, student support, cultural diversity, and progressive learning atmosphere. Notably, its Business and Management program ranks among the Top 1% in the world, reflecting its educational excellence, strong links to the global labor market, and the high competitiveness of its graduates.

Today, the university educates over 18,000 students from 150 countries and considers internationalization one of its key strategic development priorities. It offers modern education in architecture, engineering, law, psychology, international relations, and social sciences.
The Center for International Programs expresses confidence that such initiatives and the expansion of academic partnerships will further create meaningful opportunities for Tajik youth to pursue higher education, develop professionally, and integrate into the global academic community.
