As part of a working visit to the state of Arizona, United States of America, representatives of the Center for International Programs under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan held a meeting and discussion with Tajik students studying at Arizona State University through the Presidential International Scholarship of the Republic of Tajikistan “Durakhshandagon.”

Currently, 13 Tajik students are enrolled at the university in fields essential for the national economy, including economics, information technology, engineering, and exact sciences. During the visit, the delegation reviewed the students’ living conditions, service quality, academic environment, and access to educational resources. They positively assessed the students’ academic engagement and highlighted their readiness to apply the acquired knowledge upon returning to their home country.

In the conversation, the representatives emphasized the continued support and attention of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Leader of the Nation, His Excellency President Emomali Rahmon, toward youth. It was noted that young people, as a vital and strategic segment of society, are provided with wide-ranging opportunities for education and professional growth. The establishment of the Presidential International Scholarship “Durakhshandagon” is a clear example of this visionary and constructive national policy.
The meeting also addressed key issues such as patriotic education, national identity, resisting extremist ideologies, effective time management, learning foreign languages and modern subjects, and preparing to return and contribute to the development of the country.
In conclusion, the representatives of the Center called on students to preserve the dignity of the Tajik nation abroad through knowledge, scientific thinking, and ethical behavior, and to return home after graduation with the intent to contribute meaningfully to Tajikistan’s socio-economic progress.
