EXPANDING COOPERATION WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF DUNDEE (SCOTLAND)
In order to enhance international cooperation in the field of higher education and create broader opportunities for talented students from Tajikistan, a representative of the State Institution “Center for International Programs” paid a working visit to Scotland.

Within the framework of this visit, a high-level meeting was held with the Vice-Rector of the University of Dundee, one of the leading universities in the United Kingdom.

The University of Dundee is located in the city of Dundee – a major academic and research hub in Scotland. The university hosts over 17,000 students from 140 countries around the world. It is recognized as a research-oriented institution, renowned for its strengths in biomedical sciences, engineering, arts, law, and environmental studies. The university is known for its advanced laboratories, interactive teaching methods, and student-friendly learning environment.

During the meeting, the parties discussed academic opportunities for Tajik students, particularly at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The Vice-Rector emphasized the importance of expanding international collaboration and expressed readiness to cooperate with Tajikistan through scholarship programs and special tuition discounts. It was noted that Tajik students may benefit from internal university scholarships and access support services related to accommodation and academic life.

As part of the visit, the representative of the Center toured lecture halls, research facilities, modern laboratories, and other educational resources of the university.

This visit marks the first official initiative in Scotland aimed at fostering educational cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and higher education institutions in the United Kingdom. The Center for International Programs views this visit as the beginning of a new phase of productive engagement and is confident that expanding ties with world-class universities will provide valuable new opportunities for talented young people of Tajikistan.
